Droplets of Dew ("the App") is operated by Reveals Connections, LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your phone number (used for sign-in via one-time code), date of birth, and, if you provide one, your email address for account recovery.

Profile information: Information you provide for your dating profile, including your name, photos, videos, bio, prompts, interests, and preferences. Some profile fields are optional and fall under categories considered sensitive under some privacy laws, including:

• Gender identity
• Sexual orientation
• Ethnicity
• Religious, spiritual, or political views (collected only if you choose to share them)

You control which of these appear on your profile via toggles in the app, and you can edit or remove them at any time.

Location data: When you choose a discovery location, we save the geographic coordinates of the place you selected so we can compute distance between you and other users and rank the discovery feed. We do not continuously track your device's GPS, and we do not read your device location in the background. You can change your discovery location at any time in your settings.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including actions taken, pages viewed, and crash reports, to improve the App's performance and reliability.

Communications: Messages you send and receive through the App's chat feature are stored to deliver the messaging service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and profile
• To match and show you to other users based on your preferences and location
• To enable messaging between matched users
• To monitor for and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
• To diagnose technical issues and improve the App
• To send you service-related communications (e.g., email verification)

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Other users: Your profile information (name, photos, videos, and other profile details you choose to display) is visible to other users of the App as part of the dating service.
• Service providers: We use third-party service providers to help us operate the App. They access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it. Our current providers include:
  • Supabase — database, authentication, and media storage
  • Stream — in-app messaging
  • Sentry — crash and error reporting
  • PostHog — product analytics
  • Google Places — location search for the discovery-location picker
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and correction: You can view and update your profile information at any time within the App.
• Account deletion: You can delete your account through the App's settings. This will remove your profile and personal data.
• Location: You can update your discovery location in settings at any time.

6. Content Moderation and Safety

To maintain a safe and respectful community, we may review user-generated content (including photos, videos, and messages) for compliance with our terms of service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate our policies, including content that is abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful. Content moderation may be performed manually by our team.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
